In December, daily admissions were drastically reduced to 1-2 admissions per day for COVID-19 and the ICU saw 3-4 cases per week. However in the past two weeks, the numbers have doubled to 3-4 cases per day for COVID-19 wards and the ICU ward saw a rise in cases of 1-2 admissions per day, said Dr. Manjunath Thimmappa, Consultant - Critical Care Medicine, Manipal Hospitals, Whitefield.
