  • Dr Vidyasagar Ramappa, Hepatologist & Gastroenterologist in Yeshwanthpur Bangalore has been a Consultant Hepatologist & Gastroenterologist at Columbia Asia Hospitals since 2015. After medical training in India, he pursued higher specialist training in Gastroenterology at Nottingham and sub-specialty training in transplant hepatology at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge.He then undertook advanced endoscopy fellowship at Nottingham University Hospitals. He moved back to Bangalore in 2014 to take up a post as a Consultant in Clinical Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Columbia Asia Hospitals as a member of the Integrated Digestive Liver and Cancer Care (IDLCC) program that will provide a range of health promotion, disease prevention and medical, surgical, endoscopic and supportive services in GI care.

  • Since appointment at Columbia Asia Referral Hospital - Yeshwanthapur in August 2016, he has focused on the management of liver and biliary diseases including transplant hepatology, biliary endoscopy (EUS & ERCP),inflammatory bowel disease, acid-peptic disorders, functional GI disorders, luminal endoscopy and emergency gastroenterology including acute GI bleeding.
  • He has been appointed as the clinical lead for gastroenterology and endoscopy services at Columbia Asia Referral Hospital-Yeshwanthapur, and has been focussing on continuing improvements in quality, safety and patient experience in endoscopy in addition to his regular clinical commitments.
  • From November 2018 he has been the DNB programme coordinator at Columbia Asia Referral Hospital-Yeshwanthapur. He is active in clinical teaching and participates in clinical research. His interests include management and consequences of chronic liver disease and pancreatobiliary endoscopy.

  • Dr Vidyasagar Ramappa, Hepatologist & Gastroenterologist in Yeshwanthpur Bangalore has been a Consultant Hepatologist & Gastroenterologist at Columbia Asia Hospitals since 2015. After medical training in India, he pursued higher specialist training in Gastroenterology at Nottingham and sub-specialty training in transplant hepatology at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge.He then undertook advanced endoscopy fellowship at Nottingham University Hospitals. He moved back to Bangalore in 2014 to take up a post as a Consultant in Clinical Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Columbia Asia Hospitals as a member of the Integrated Digestive Liver and Cancer Care (IDLCC) program that will provide a range of health promotion, disease prevention and medical, surgical, endoscopic and supportive services in GI care.

  • Since appointment at Columbia Asia Referral Hospital - Yeshwanthapur in August 2016, he has focused on the management of liver and biliary diseases including transplant hepatology, biliary endoscopy (EUS & ERCP),inflammatory bowel disease, acid-peptic disorders, functional GI disorders, luminal endoscopy and emergency gastroenterology including acute GI bleeding.
  • He has been appointed as the clinical lead for gastroenterology and endoscopy services at Columbia Asia Referral Hospital-Yeshwanthapur, and has been focussing on continuing improvements in quality, safety and patient experience in endoscopy in addition to his regular clinical commitments.
  • From November 2018 he has been the DNB programme coordinator at Columbia Asia Referral Hospital-Yeshwanthapur. He is active in clinical teaching and participates in clinical research. His interests include management and consequences of chronic liver disease and pancreatobiliary endoscopy.
