  • Dr. Haranahalli did his MBBS from the Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences in Bellur. He completed his MD - Internal Medicine from Rajasthan University of Health Sciences Jaipur and DM - Cardiology from LPS Institute of Cardiology, GSVM Medical College Kanpur. He worked with Fortis Escorts Hearts Institute, Delhi as a Consultant in Interventional Cardiology from 2013 to 2016, before he practised in Bangalore. He was the Senior Registrar of Cardiology at G.B.Pant Hospital in New Delhi in 2010. In his career, he has worked on cardiac emergency interventions like pericardial aspiration and primary angioplasty. He has performed surgical procedures like peripheral angioplasty, renal angioplasty, aortic valvuloplasty, LA appendage closure, balloon mitral commissurotomy, etc. He has dealt regularly with providing heart attack treatment, angioplasty, and other procedures in his career. During the last six years of his work, he travelled across North India to perform heart surgeries. He has travelled to many places like Dehradun, Raipur, and Jabalpur and has performed various complex procedures. He is skilled in performing advanced procedures like permanent pacemaker implantation, CRT implantation, and ICD implantation. He also routinely performs structural and congenital heart disease interventions. He has written several articles and book chapters for various national and international publications. He has written about various topics like the rising cases of heart attacks in the country, how young Indians can take care of their hearts, the meaning, and dangers of widowmaker heart attacks, etc.
