FAQ's

Respiratory medicine deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the airway and lungs.

The nose, throat (pharynx), larynx, windpipe, lungs and diaphragm constitute the parts of the Respiratory system.

Spirometry is a breathing test to measure the amount of air blown out of the lungs (volume) and how fast the air can be blown out (flow). It is the most common lung function tests.

The first scan that is used to diagnose lung problems is chest X-ray. But for detailed imaging, a CT scan is needed.
